Barn Hunt
Located in Grants Pass/Southern Oregon, Sunnyside Dog Sports offers sanctioned Barn Hunt trials, Barn Hunt practice sessions, and other related events.
Barn Hunt is a sport for dogs that is based upon the hunting and teamwork skills between owners and their dog. The object is to find the hidden rat tubes. The dog alerts and the handler makes the call. As obstacles, hay bales are used to create a course that the dog must climb and tunnel through.
Obedience Training
Obedience training may just be the best gift you can give yourself, your family, and your pet. It teaches your dog appropriate social behavior with both people and animals. Scent Work Training
Scent training is exactly how it sounds, training your dog to detect and react to different scents. Since dogs are renowned for their superior sense of smell, scent training (also known as scent work and nose work) is a great way to engage your dog in mental and physical exercise.
